BABYMETAL release "THE ONE" Live Music Video on Billboard
BABYMETAL is premiering the video to "The One," the second track from its upcoming album Metal Resistance, in the U.S. on Billboard.com. The live video features singer/dancers Su-Metal, Moametal and Yuimetal performing within a triangular enclosure that's suspended above an arena-size crowd. Clad in glittery robes, the girls sing the verses of the midtempo track in English and the choruses in Japanese. The video was filmed on Dec. 13, 2015 at Yokohama Arena in Japan on the final date of the BABYMETAL World Tour.
"The three of us were together so it wasn't scary," Su-Metal tells Billboard. "We saw the audience singing along with us and that was amazing. Through the world tour we realized that BABYMETAL is not just about the three of us, but about the Kami Band, our staff and the fans all together,” Su-Metal says. “With this team we'd like to perform our one-of-a-kind music that we produce and bring the world together."
The act previously premiered the video for new album track "Karate" earlier in March. It has already gained nearly 2.3 million views on YouTube.
Metal Resistance will arrive on April 1 on RAL/Sony Music Entertainment. BABYMETAL is set to embark on a world tour in support of the album starting April 2 at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London. Dates have currently been set in the U.S. and Europe into June.
